My album of the year for 2015 was Senses Fail's "Pull the Thorns From Your Heart".

That was a good album tbh. I don't listen to it anymore but I was impressed.

Definitely. I saw some promise in them with Renacer and no longer listened to them as just a guilty pleasure, but I didn't think they were capable of what they did with Thorns.

i dont know if crust is a part of this thread but i really like NUX VOMICA. Especially Asleep in the ashes but also a civilized world and their latest self titel album .

^^ Sounds pretty cool - I used to listen to screamo a lot more but crust appeals more these days.

I've been struggling with whether I should follow this thread or not, as I really dig post-hardcore/metal, but genre tags like "emo" and "screamo" kinda give me shivers :D But if this topic will cover crust and other hardcore as well, I guess it's worth following!
