February MBC box and goddamn it's a good one again, all eight are of different styles. I've tried 5 of the 8 in advance, because I was impatient and wanted to get myself double cans before they were sold out:

Mikkeller: Hop Terroir Series: Centennial Washington 500 ml (NEIPA, 6.8 %)
Mikkeller: Beer Geek Flat White (Oatmeal Stout brewed with coffee and lactose, 7.5 %)

Mikkeller San Diego: Easy Ryeder (Rye Wheat IPA, 7 %)
Mikkeller San Diego: Murker Inc. (India Pale Lager, 5.9 %)
Mikkeller San Diego: Raspberry Blush (Sour / Berliner Weisse brewed with raspberries and coffee, 4 %)

Mikkeller / Kiselgården: beer chips (made with malt, yeast and hops, has a nice beer flavor)

Mikkeller NYC / Thin Man Brewery: Filthy Flow IPA (IPA, 6.5 %)

Brewski / Mikkeller: Magic Valley (Double IPA with guava, 7.77 %, first batch MBC exclusive)

The Alchemist: Luscious (imperial stout, 9.2 %)

In the coming months there are several collaboration brews coming which are Mikkeller Beer Club exclusive beers. Much excite!

Although the February MBC box was sent yesterday, I need to make yet again a new €200 order to Mikkeller webshop. Damn them Sad

They got great new beers from Alefarm, The Bruery, Funk Factory, Cloudwater, Northern Monk, Cervisiam, To Øl, Pipeworks, Amager Bryghus, Magic Rock Brewing, and Evil Twin. Way more than I can afford. At least shipping is free.

Bought these off the shelf at a Tesco market when I was in London last month. Going to try the Goose IPA for starters tonight. Smile

Got my Beer Advent Calendar for this year. Went with Kalea again, but upgraded to the craft beer edition this time. Smile

I took HonestBrew's calendar this year. I wanted Mikkeller's, but at least third of it will be the same as in the Mikkeller Beer Club boxes this year. Awesome beers in the MBC box all year long, but I'd rather take some I most likely have not tasted yet.

I took the Ultimate Craft Beer version of their beer calendar. Beers that rate high in Untappd and are brewed by e.g. Cloudwater, Mikkeller, Stillwater, Magic Rock, Wylam - and they will be fresh. "Expect big flavours, strong ABVs, maximum hops, bold barrel ageing, interesting fermentation and more." Sounds fucken fantastic! It will be well worth the money.

Just wanted to take a minute and recommend the best beer that has been in my calendar this year (so far). I very seldom rate any beer 5/5 on Untappd, but this one was well worth it!

Apparently the craft beer shop here sells it, too. Must check later on today and stock up if they've got it.

I believe I might like that. Light stout with chocolatey and coffee notes. Sounds like a very nice 4/5.

Last night I wanted an imperial stout as a nightcap, but I noticed too late that the motherfucker was 15.9% ABV, haha. Luckily I could reseal more than half of it with a cork, because it was well past midnight already then. It's a very nice bourbon barrel aged coconut/vanilla stout by Prairie (Bourbon Paradise). The ABV doesn't actually taste that much.

Sounds very yummy, too. 15,9% is just the right percentage to get an evening started, Haha.

Unfortunately, they didn't have Schokobär at the shop. The dealer recommended another Chocolate Stout with Açaí as an alternative (called "Brazilian Roadtrip"). Bought a bottle and will check it out. Also picked up a bottle of Dark Dunter as a present for a friend; had that one before and do approve.
