That is kind of my issue - it's great for a while but it never really changes in any significant way, so I wind up zoning out before it's over.

I totally zoned out while listening to the first track too
then went out to get some halloween candy. Listening again right now, sounds like when I stopped listening to them on Si Monumentum... nice. Hopefully it grows on me.

Yeah, it's just DsO getting their feet wet it seems. It's good, and it's evil as hell, but there's nothing special about it within the context of their discography. The vocals sound a bit dirtier though.

new DsO seems to be much more in line with Fas, which I haven't really gotten into that much at all. First track sent shivers down my spine, but my concentration waned rapidly after that. Will have to give it some more spins though.
