Looked at the comments on the Opeth stream, they've been roasted.  People are really not liking this.  It also already has the worst rating of all their albums on RYM, and usually ratings start higher there.  Ouch.

Where are you reading these comments? is it the usual "bah they don't play deff metul anymore" crowd or valid complaints? My friend who is really picky and hated Heritage says he loves this new one :/

I scrolled the premiere stream on their Facebook, it wasn't like PLAY DEATH METAL, but a tonnn of comments saying things like "I like progressive music, but this is just bland."

I didn't listen yet though. Listened to Alcest. Maybe wasn't as good as I hoped. It's good to me but not mind bending or anything. My mind wanders off a lot during it ... Anyone getting into it?

Sumerian has never had a day and date vinyl release except for Crosses, which was only because the album got delayed by months anyways.

Wanted to order both AAL versions, but shipping costs were $54. Don't want them that bad...

I was actually listening to an early stream of that the other day - heard a few tracks, sounded good. Don't know how the whole album is though.

The new Opeth is getting a whooping almost unanimously at Muusikoiden.net's (a Finnish site for musicians) forum.

Still waiting for my Kodama package from Prophecy. Don't wanna spoil myself on this one, I only heard Oiseaux de proie which I find beyond fantastic. But then again, I'm a huge fanboy when it comes to Alcest. Should find someone else for an honest opinion.

Also don't give two shits about Opeth.
