Pet peeve - postal returns.
They actually cost money for the label to receive back. Customers are pissed 100% of the time when things are returned back to the label and expect things to be reshipped free of charge. Returns take a bunch of effort to recontact everyone and track down payments for reshipping (all the while being yelled at). People then want them reshipped instantly, ahead of all other packages. Ugh!

I just had a weird experience with Bongload Records, I ordered their Beck - Odelay reissue back in July and early August I get my package with the wrong record, I ask for a return and go post the wrong record back to them, costs $3.23 having to use my own time to help them correct the error. All fine, they ship the right record once they get my return in and a few days later I check usps.com and it says my package could not be delivered as addressed, so now it goes back to them and it's already September and I still can't get the damn record. On this one I believe I am entitled to be mad at them since they caused the problem in the first place. Right guys?

I had an experience like that with a label where a ton of shit went wrong which was mostly not their fault, but their initial behavior set the stage ...
The reason I bought the records in the first place was that it was an overall decent deal including shipping. Then once they packed it up fully, they asked for nearly double the money in shipping. I thought that was pretty classless, I've definitely undercharged on shipping several times before and just bit the bullet. So, it was that initial "hey gimme more money" when everything was already paid. Then the whole thing went to hell: the carrier messed up big time, I had to pay it to ship again and the records arrived all banged up. :| The label didn't wanna take any responsibility, and I didn't make a scene, but it was that initial hitting me up for more cash that made all the other shit that wasn't their fault that much more annoying.

Yeah, whenever either side comes up with a lame "hey I fucked this up but you fix it for me" that's when I lose my shit.
