Sounds like I have a bottle open all the time, haha
Actually, nowadays I don't usually drink more than a bottle in the evening and not more than 4 bottles a week.

I have a feeling this thread is gonna cost me a lot of money.

Currently enjoying a Trappist Westmalle on a Sunday while answering an interview, nice stuff.

Drinking nice beer in Finland is not a cheap proposition.

Hops United might have cheaper shipping to Finland, but if you want Belgian beers, you should check this out. Good service there too:

"Special" beer has been really taking off in the Netherlands. You can get a lot of nice beers in the supermarket now, my local one has an aisle dedicated to it.

As an IPA lover California was great as well. Every bar has multiple on tap, prices are reasonable as well.

Favorites: Gulpener Indian Pale Lager, Affligem tripel, Burgse Zot, Duvel triple hop

Yeah, you can just about take any 24 bottles and add shipping and the total will be cheaper than those bought locally in Finland or Norway. Sure, in some places the shipping is like €50, but there are places you can get shipping to the range of €15-30 and it's still much cheaper.

Once checked Schlenkerla's webstore. Don't know about shipping but a bottle there costs like 1,60€ whereas in Alko its around 3,50€ so go figure. Hail Finland

I have just been on a weekend trip to Amsterdam and have sampled at least 15 different beers (mostly from micro breweries) there, if not more.  My Untappd account was quite happy about it :-). Being german, I was pleasantly surprised that they have so many good beers there (because all we get here is Heinecken and that stuff fucking sucks); one of the nicest ones I've tried there was Beaverton Bloody 'ell. Not dutch for that matter, but definitely worth trying if you get the chance.

Had a not so interesting surprise when I picked up a weissbier from Suomenlinnan panimo (small brewery on a famous island off the coast of Helsinki). Well I have no idea how they failed to mention prominently that it's black currant flavored. It doesn't say it anywhere on the bottle until you read the ingredients, haha. What a shit way to market your stuff!
