This new Tombs EP is pretty great. https://tombsbklyn.bandcamp.com/album/all-empires-fall
And so is John Congleton's solo album. https://soundcloud.com/fatpossum/john-co...il-it-goes

Oh shit, I had completely forgotten how great the first two Sentenced albums are. I never properly listened to them, because North From Here was the wrong type of album at that certain time. Now's the time to rectify the error and buy those albums.

Can't help listening to this and imagining how good the new Cult Of Luna could have been if they got this lass to do guest vocals instead...

(yeah, I'm doing a LOT of catching up on new music tonight, you may have noticed!)
Damn, that was excellent! What is it with Iceland oozing out quality stuff these past few years? Svartidauði, Sinmara, Misþyrming, Carpe Noctem and now this.

Stumbled upon this one-man black metal project from Lyon on Bandcamp. The production's a bit rough, but the musicianship and songwriting is pretty epic.

That Dun project sounds great! The songwriting is good and the songs don't feel overly long despite the (lack of) production.
I was just listening to Taake: Nattestid... so perhaps I had the right mindset already Smile

That Tombs track on the link sounds pretty cool, gonna have to check that whole thing out. I also had no idea you could embed videos in the Bandcamp header.

Probably my fav Shostakovich piece, now in guitar form. The original arrangement is actually more brutal though haha.
