Trying Be'lakor for the first time. I should have gotten on this sooner. Wow.

Hadn't heard of them until someone showed me the new single and I definitely dug it. It's out already?

Ashbringer - Yugen

Saw this band was coming to Toronto in a few weeks for $10 and decided to check out their newest. Glad I did. Nice US Atmospheric BM in the vein of Wolves in the Throne Room / Agalloch. Solid stuff. Hopefully they'll have vinyl at the show but I don't think they will. Bummer as the label is based in Europe.

My friend's band The Noumenon debuted their new 3 part song on Metal Injection today, brilliant progressive death stuff and a huge step up from their debut.

Yeah that sounded pretty good - wish they had a bit better production but otherwise some pretty cool potential going on there.

I usually have my little problems with anything labeled "progressive", in a way that I can only listen to it when I'm absolutely in the right mood. It appears that this was the case just now. :-). Good stuff - congrats to your friend and his bandmates. I shall download! :-)

Listened to the latest Bifröst album yesterday, since I had to write a review about it. Saw them live not to long ago, and wasn't too impressed with tehir performance. The listening experience of the album proved to be better.

Aaaaaaand shameless self promotion time. I've released a few new tracks over the past few weeks, let me know what you guys think!

A five-part metal/ pop/ post-hardcore sea shanty suite
https://kvlt-mart.bandcamp.com/album/across-the-sea

A brief orchestral tour of the Divine Comedy using choir, strings, and french horn

A techy death metal song I made as a joke when someone threw out a challenge that if you got "dodecahedron" while playing Pictionary, you had to make a death metal band called that

Got it today from the UPS wizards.

Thanks for posting here, didn't know them before, listened to them after I saw your post here and in the purchases thread and ordered the album immediately after listening to "they keep silence" for the tenth or so time in one sitting, absolutely fantastic stuff!

B2T:

Found them while derping through youtube recently, I really dig the sound!
