There really are a lot of hidden agricultural politics in Crete that no one has wanted to talk about for years. I heard the Greek government is doing a rebuttal film to The Purple Seed which points out some of the film's inaccuracies, but I believe that film's scope is further reaching and will also cover some myths about feta and as well as myths about goat transport vessels around the Mediterranean. I think Netflix will be making a Grape & Goat genre category soon, based on these two films and some sequels and other rebuttal films that are currently in development.
