I've blasted the new The Alogrithm album, Brute Force, few times now while it's still fully streamed in here. If you like instrumental mix of electronic, math and metal this should exactly up your alley.
Can't really say if beats Octopus4 yet but I can pretty safely say I like it more than debut Polymorpic Code already.
Brute Force sounds really good but at the same time it sounds quite samey throughout. In that sense I think it's way closer to debut album. It's not necessarily bad thing as the overall quality seems to be really high. It's not as wild of a rollercoaster ride as Octopus4 though. That album is just so crazy diverse it doesn't even make sense.
My favourite tracks so far are Hex and Rootkit. I guess that shouldn't come as a surprise considering Rémi himself confirms synthwave inspiration on those tracks. Minus for Trojans throwback that doesn't offer quite enough.
