I've been meaning to listen to this one, because of all of the people raving about it through the little reviews on bandcamp, comparing it to Perturbator!

It's very nice! I'm getting Carpenter Brut vibes on some of these tracks, which is never a bad thing. Mainly "The Bomb".

Well there is always the off chance it's actually Carpenter Brut using different moniker.  Most likely not but it wouldn't be the most out-there thing if he was.

Whatever the case, this album is truly a killer. No dull moments, diverse tracks with full of hooks. Listened to it three times a row yesterday again. If I don't suddenly get bored of it (e.g. listening to it TOO much) I can pretty confidently say it goes straight to my top list immediately after Carpenter Brut's Trilogy. Actually I don't know if I even dare to say it but it's not beyond realms of possibility of This Means War even surpassing it eventually.

Apparently Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust) is hopping on the synth train, because he's opening as a dark synth project in Lord Dying's upcoming headline tour

My lovely This Means War vinyl arrived today (along with Badass Inc. EP numbered 76/100). Since it came with download code for 24bits / 88.2Khz vinyl master I decided to do some testing since it was finally made easy.

My conclusion is: yes, there are differences but nothing too major. Lowest basses are deeper and loudest parts have more clarity. Vinyl is a winner here. Hearing them depends a bit on equipment as well. I also made an Imgur album of results.
