Blood Music releases extreme and/or experimental metal. Blood Music releases darksynth. That’s pretty unique; I haven’t come across any other labels that release both. It's a combination that makes sense to a lot of us. Are you one of us?  Perhaps you resent one of the aforementioned genres? What would fans of these genres also enjoy?

Suggest artists or genres that might also fit the Blood Music spirit. Speaking of which, what is the Blood Music spirit?

In short the blood music spirit is release things you love and pray it pays itself off.

Good one! I'm subscribed to that channel. Some of my favorite Icelandic bands on there and more.

Those Poor Bastards is one of those artists that I’d highly recommend. I’ve found a lot of people who like black metal as well as this “doom country” (more often referred to as gothic country) band. A few people who like these styles, as well as darksynth. I’ll have to say, though, that this is pretty much the only artist I enjoy from that entire subgenre. At least so far. I think it's simply because they do it so much different (and better) from the other groups out there. It helps that they're founders of this alt country subgenre. Some of the most truly hateful music I've heard. I’m a huge fan of this group, but since they’re based in the USA, it’s pretty difficult being a European fan and getting to see them live.

Here's the song that introduced me to them:

You can listen to their full discography, as well as Lonesome Wyatt's other projects, here: http://www.thosepoorbastards.com/artists...scography/

I will quote Mirai from Sigh on this:

"They're truly great. They have a good balance between artistic sense and business, which is very important. Some labels just think of money. Others just think of art and go out of business so quickly. Blood Music keeps the good balance between them."

That's the BM spirit and thanks to that, can keep releasing awesome music for us! Big Grin

Haha, thanks all! Mirai is cool - been talking to him pretty constantly for years, we actually e-mail a fair amount. I was pretty honored he came straight to me to do "Graveward" on vinyl last year.
