Haha, told you guys that's a good one. Still can't figure out what the bitching was on the band's Facebook about the premiere track. The whole album is very solid.

I kinda like the mix on this, even though Henri was skeptical about the reception regarding the drum sound. I like that the drums and bass are more up front in the mix and the sound on the drums.

That new Moonsorrow is my favourite album of 2016 already, though it's been a fairly otherwise disappointing year so far... I'm hoping Deftones and Ihsahn bring it back for us too!!!

Ihsahn's record is really good too.

There's still plenty of time, I'm sure there will be more good records coming. A lot of great ones from last year came out of nowhere.

I don't think the year has been overly disappointing. Well, for me it hasn't been too much so. Besides Moonsorrow at least these have been excellent also:
Borknagar, Oranssi Pazuzu, Melvins, Church Of Misery, Abbath

Perhaps Abbath wasn't excellent, but it was a great effort still. And Almyrkvi was very good too. If I get more releases of this caliber, it's going to be a good year again - and like J said, many great surprises are likely to come even at the end of the year.

Edit. new Blood Ceremony is excellent too. I'm sure PJ Harvey won't disappoint when it's out in two weeks, and Gorguts is out in about a month. Sure, some have been slight disappointments, like Cult Of Luna, but still good for me.
