I've disagreed quite a few times with Imperiumi, so I don't see them as a really big authority in anything. They've given out 10's far too many times. For instance, the latest Stam1na comes to mind. I mean, I guess it's ok to like it, but 10/10? Really? With that said, I've liked what I've heard from the new Bölzer, but still waiting for my vinyl to arrive, so haven't listened to the entire album yet.

Hmm, hadn't listened to Borknagar for ages, but yesterday I felt a sudden urge to put them on while I was working on my master's thesis. I was quite surprised to notice that their latest album, Winter Thrice, sounds pretty awesome! Had to head straight to record store to buy it on my way home from the uni. The vocal lines, oh my... Lazare, Vortex, Vintersorg, it has almost all of the best clean singers in the black(ish) metal scene right now IMHO. Even Garm delivers feat vocals in it. How have I neglected this?

I guess it has something to do with the fact that I had already kind of given up my hope about Borknagar. Really like their older stuff, but at some point got a bit bored with them. I bought Universal when it came out, and thought it to be "ok", but nothing really mind-blowing, so I didn't even check out Urd or this one. I guess I have to look into Urd as well now.
