Played like 8 hours during the weekend and I'm only like 10% into the game. It is awesome! Meanwhile I finished Uncharted 2 in 10h 18 mins of gameplay :/ Started again to look for more treasures/get more achievements (and play in hard instead of normal.) If 'Last of us' is anything to go by, then these must be awesome. RE: Video game thread - MAC_HATER - 04-21-2016 This is looking so awesome
RE: Video game thread - winterburner - 04-21-2016 My Mass Effect playthroughs have always been 30-60 hours, depending on the game. Be well prepares to spend lots of time Reminds me, maybe I should do another playthrough in the Summer...

That aside they're pretty similar. The Evil Within is my favourite game I've played and I think that was in large part because it was so heavily based on this scare and disorient normal people thing it had happening. I will say I've enjoyed Uncharted 1 & 2, but not as much as everyone I've talked to about it seemingly. RE: Video game thread - hugo - 04-21-2016 Speaking of which, I have Until Dawn in my sights. Will add it too. Read great reviews about that one. RE: Video game thread - RevolvingImages - 04-21-2016 I'm thinking of doing another Mass Effect playthrough. I never got to Mass Effect 3 (I heard too much that the ending was bad), but I've really been itching to play through 1 and 2 again, then 3. Ever since I re-watched The Force Awakens, I've been on a massive Star Wars kick, so I'm playing through KOTOR 1 and 2 right now. RE: Video game thread - winterburner - 04-22-2016 ME3 ending may be lame, but the rest of the game is gold. Make sure you play at least the Citadel DLC too. RE: Video game thread - Seasonreaper - 04-24-2016 I agree, ME3's ending was terrible, but the rest of the game was legit great. I was really enjoying the franchise up until that final 20 minutes or so. I need to run through it as a renegade at some point, though. As per usual I'm spending time right now playing through fanmade DOOM mapsets, currently on Speed of Doom. Some really lovely level design here, although it's hard as balls. RE: Video game thread - Lanttu - 04-25-2016 I bought Dark Souls III past friday. Couldn't hold myself this time (unlike with Dark Souls II) so I had to pay 48 euros for it. Should have bought earlier because I was pretty sure this was going to happen eventually. Would've saved whopping 3 euros. Of course there are some shady web shops like Kinguin or Instant-Gaming where it would've been around 40 euros but I don't support them and neither should anyone else ever.So far (4 hours in) the game has been absolutely magnificent. It might not be as open (at least yet) as previous installations but the world architecture has been spot on. I didn't get why people hated or disliked Dark Souls II (though I only played Scholars of the First Sin) so much but man, this game is just something completely different. Especially bosses are in a different league of their own here. |
