Strapping Young Lad 7xLP Box Set!
Announcing news that will move entire nations. The incredibly long-overdue vinyl worship session of every bit of Strapping Young Lad's music one could ever ask for. That's right. A Strapping Young Lad 7xLP Box Set Discography. This monstrous limited edition 7xLP box set will contain *all five Strapping Young Lad full-lengths*; as well as *extra vinyl dedicated to the band's non-album material*; plus other special, newly-created gifts [yet to be announced]. The genre-busting Canadian industrial/death band has never seen their seminal albums "Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing," "SYL," nor "The New Black" touch wax before. Their other two records, "City" and "Alien," were pressed in ultra limited numbers of 500 copies only and sold out within months of their release. Great! We are working with Devin and crew about what will be possible here. This is a massive release and will take us time to plan out, so let’s see what transpires over the next few months!
Can you please detail the source materials used for these pressings?

Great news! As much as I know, the master tapes for some of the Devin records got ruined in the flood some time ago but I guess you do your best
Also, I hope these will be on black vinyl because they sound better than coloured vinyl (especially if most of these albums are on single LP-s:)

Thanks for the input! Yes, we are considering all these angles. We’ve spoken with Devin about the existence of masters, and the outlook is a bit grim.
Our promise is to present these in the best possible quality available, so rest assured in no instance could better vinyl exist.
After the Maudlin Of The Well box set i hope to receive soon, yet another awesome package.
If you are inviting fans to help finance this package as you did for the Maudlin’s box , you already have mine!
Hey Cedric — motW sets are in the final production stage. We’re moments away from approving the test pressings and have received most of the extras, so those should be out within a few weeks (keep checking our FB page for progress!).
But as far as future releases, we hope to eliminate the lag time between pre-order and release. The motW sets was our first foray and wanted to play it safe dipping into uncharted waters.
We’ll see how this transpires, but we’re planning in most instances to take pre-orders 1-2 months officially before something hits streets (with art, audio, and everything finished and already submitted to the plant)!

I doubt Dev had the masters for HAARHT or City. I would expect Century Media to have them but OM, Physicist and who knows what else were likely the ones affected by the flood.
