There is a documentary that was just released on Netflix titled "The Impurest Purple Seed: a sexualized history of Grape farming on Crete" and I highly recommend everyone watch at least the first 15 minutes of it. It follows the life of Fabrizio Lekkas, who is a farmer on the island of Crete, through his daily routine of managing his crop but also delving into the much more sordid and questionable back drop plaguing the isle and its inhabitants: unsatisfiable dendrophilic lust. It is a two hour long documentary so it is an investment of patience but I can attest to the importance of it and how it is a stark reflection of our modern society. Unquestionably this is one of the greatest documentaries from the last decade, perhaps ever. Such is the importance of the Impurest Purple Seed, it cannot be understated.

Thank you I just added it to my queue.
Do you know if the grape farming has any potential impact on feta production? I heard we may run out of feta by year 2025 if production isn't slowed.

I just finished reading about this very situation in an article called Royal Feta: a Fatal Fetish. For those who do not know, Royal Feta is feta that has been doused in grape blood and is the main cause of discarded feta. Feta fields can't keep up and the world is the worse for it. Goddamn grapes.

There really are a lot of hidden agricultural politics in Crete that no one has wanted to talk about for years. I heard the Greek government is doing a rebuttal film to The Purple Seed which points out some of the film's inaccuracies, but I believe that film's scope is further reaching and will also cover some myths about feta and as well as myths about goat transport vessels around the Mediterranean. I think Netflix will be making a Grape & Goat genre category soon, based on these two films and some sequels and other rebuttal films that are currently in development.

I saw a grape yesterday rolling down the street and I thought to myself, I thought this very thing, this very specific thing to myself, I thought: "Fuck that grape. I hope it is alone forever and never makes any friends."
You see friends, grapes are gregarious. The word gregarious means to be sociable and is derived from Sir Anton Gregory who was the most sociable person known to man in the 1200's. His sociability was almost like a disease to some so they smashed the name Gregory with infectious to make this new word, this word that describes grapes quite accurately. Grapes love to be picked, to be touched and eaten and made into wine. They do. They absolutely fucking love it but the thing we must all keep in mind is that grapes are the most horribly self entitled, bullshit fruit in the world. They are a menace to the world at large and no one has done a damn thing to stop them, nothing that has had any effect on our current plight that is. We need help to rid ourselves of these wretched juice sacks, we need a hero. We need you Batman.

We needn't forget about common folk who are aiding us in furthering our cause, unbeknownst to them or not. It seems people have an almost intrinsic hatred for grapes, even if they are momentarily swayed by treacherous "openminded" grape-loving hippies:
The world needs to be cleansed of these subfruits.

Aww that's not nice. You should never call someone a slut, unless if you are having some sex with them and they want you to, then you can call them a slut, that's different. But a protester should never be called a slut, especially of the grape-looking variety.
Also I want to make it very clear, I am 100% opposed to grapes, not people. People are horrible and should all be exterminated, I think we can all agree on that; however, I think we need to really knuckle down and focus on grapes as the main menace currently plaguing the globe.
