RIP Prince

I never really became familiar with Prince. Guess I'm too young or whatever. Still saddening to see so many legends pass away so suddenly. I remember, around Bowie's passing, seeing someone on the internet saying more or less "So Bowie's gone, too, now? Who's next, Prince?" Too soon.

Didn't Prince cancel every single show in Finland? I feel like I heard he was supposed to come here 5-10 times and canceled every single time. Or maybe he did finally come.

He played in Toronto a few times recently at intimate theatre's vs. stadiums, with multiple nights each time he came. Matter of fact, the first time he played 2 sets each night for 3 days in a row, so 6 concerts in total. The last time he played it was just 2 shows 9or maybe 1) but he did it completely solo with just a piano. A friend of mine went and said it was amazing.
I couldn't go to any of them because I wasn't fast enough buying the tickets. Each time he announced the shows 2 days before the first concert took place, and one day before the tickets went on sale. They all sold out within minutes.
RIP Prince. One of my fave non metal artist since 1981 when i heard Controversy the first time. Def brought a smirk of our 15-16 year old faces when we heard Do me baby and Jack u Off. My fave will probably always be Purple rain and sign of the times. These two albums are just so good. But i really dont own a bad Prince album and i have a "few" I must admit i was more gutted with Bowie but Prince is def also a big loss musically. Like Bowie there wont be another Prince. Rest in Purple Genius.
Will there be a vinyl release?

Googled a bit and found Rumba's gig review from 2011, and it says that he finally made it here on the sixth attempt. I can't say that I've been a huge follower of Prince, but my father likes his work and as a comic book fan the first Batman's soundtrack has been carved in my consciousness. Can't deny his importance to the whole music scene. Respect.

I only know a couple of songs by the guy, perhaps it's time to give some of his work a listen.
A few days before Bowie died, I had just started to listen to his music for the first time because of his new album release, which I actually enjoyed, then he died two days after...
for your health
