Otherwise rap/hip-hop is really unknown territory for me. I've always thought that there could definitely be something for me to enjoy there, but I just haven't found it yet. So still being kind of open minded towards it, unlike many other fellow metalheads. Therefore, if someone could recommend some really good bleak and atmospheric rap/hip-hop, it would be much appreciated
I haven't really explored trip hop before. I think FKA Twigs is considered trip hop and I like her stuff a lot.
As far as "bleak, atmospheric" hip hop I'm not sure what I could recommend. milo - so the flies don't come is pretty atmospheric but I wouldn't call it bleak. I'll have to sit on that a bit more.
