Nice collection! Please treat that 3LP carefully - that was hell to put together, haha. Never again with the hand-assembled stuff (he says, as he folds "Dangerous Days" j-cards).
hugo - how do you feel about Mariner in the end?

My mom is staying at my place for a couple weeks so I have not been able to play any vinyl as my listening area is the same as the TV and she loves watching her shows, so I wont get to play Mariner and my Ride The Lightning until sunday probably :^/
black vinyl can always wait.

Still waiting for my purple "Mariner".
I gave the it another listen in the gym at lunchtime today. It's still a thoroughly frustrating listen... there's so much about it that's really good, including bits where Julies voice really augments the music, but then you hear parts that utterly ruin it simply because her vocals are at odds with the song.

Took me like an hour to even open the thing - first half hour getting through the anxiety fearing I might damage it, second half trying to figure out a way to safely open it. I don't keep the records in the box for the sake of conserving the box. I just store them with my other records, each in a protecting sleeve. Dunno why I bothered you with this story but I am indeed doing my best taking good care of the stuff.

Haha cool. :]
re: Mariner, I love that band but I simply didn't get into this album ... I didn't catch the spirit of the premiere tracks anyway, so I wasn't expecting to love it.

I opened the 3LP set when I got it and it took about half an hour to get it open without any damage. Now I'm not sure how many years will pass before I dare to take another go. But when I do, I have to keep it under rotation for a good few weeks so that it can be seremoniously sealed again for a few years, haha
