I was really considering buying this from Levykauppa Äx the other day on my lunch break, but decided to give a pass, because it was €42.95. I'd like to get the artbook version too, but not at that price.

Got my Alcest - Kodama 4LP+2CD clear vinyl box last week Smile
A really great release by prophecy again Smile

RE: Purchases and acquisitions - hugo - 10-04-2016

¿Where the bitch is my Kodama?

anyway, September 30 (sorta) strikes again!

Emma Ruth Rundle - Marked for death (clear)
GosT - non paradisi (splatter box, DAMNIT isn't this thing beautiful!)
Helms Alee - stillcide (clear blue)
Moonspell - irreligious (golden)
Neurosis - fires within fires (black 2LP)
Neurosis - fires within fires (red eclipse, which looks nothing like the mockup but still beautiful)
Radiohead - a moon shaped pool (dlx edition)
Temple of the Dog (new 2016 reissue, 1LP)
Thy Catafalque - Meta

Minor gripe: fucking new neurosis won't fit in the box! Sad(((
Anti gripe: neurosis merchtable also sent me a free replacement sleeve for the Times of Grace that came in with a seam split and looked horrible!

Just in this morning:

Moonspell - irreligious (orange, signed by band)
Darkher - realms (clear black smoke)
and what I believe is the Moonsorrow - Splatter box. I did not get to open it but it says it comes from Blood Music Big Grin

Godflesh, how are you liking that Sorceress? I still need my box to arrive but really loved that Pink one!

RE: Purchases and acquisitions - Godflesh - 10-05-2016

I haven't had any time to submerge myself in it. I listened to the MP3s at work out of curiosity, but that's all. At first the mix sounded strange, but then I actually started to like it. The album seems to have all kinds of different elements, yet nothing sticks after one listen. No hits and no real powerful memorable riffs. But I feel that this is a grower again.

I'm biding my time until I have some peace and quiet and no overtime work and kids hobbies and activities and everything. Then I'll pop open a bottle of Opeth Imperial Stout and put this properly on for several spins in a row.

RE: Purchases and acquisitions - hugo - 10-05-2016

The production really threw me off, I had to readjust my system levels to enjoy it better, but yeah, it is a grower and definitely not at the top of my Opeth list but still enjoyable.

RE: Purchases and acquisitions - Godflesh - 10-05-2016

I don't think I can answer for a year or two where this approximately lands on my Opeth list, but I'm sure this will be an interesting and enjoyable journey again. Certainly not the most cohesive album they've made, but it seems to have many interesting songs with lots of potential - whether they fall flat or live up to the promises remains to be seen.
