Pretty good actually, although a little short (4 songs, 34 minutes) but maybe that's enough for this style. It's stylistically on par with the debut, with tighter arrangements. It seems like there's more doom parts than before, or at least that's the impression I get after a couple of listens.

Hmm ... I just threw on a track and it sounded good but maybe didn't grab me as much as the debut, maybe I preferred the looser arrangements actually, though I'd have to do a full side by side. I really liked the debut upon release but actually haven't listened to it much since then.

I've listened to new Phobocosm once and quite liked it. And I think short duration can mostly be a good thing, approximately 35 minutes is definitely an optimal length for a death metal album. There's too many long-as-fuck-and-not-enough-good-ideas-to-cover-it type of albums around.
