RE: Purchases and acquisitions - seasonsinthesky - 08-12-2016 Thanks for the Transcendence tipoff and the Meshuggah box review, Doogz. Currently pwning this topic! ![]() Mesh box definitely sounds like a rip. And I will be eternally pissed off about the way they pressed Catch 33 – the fucking album has a rest BUILT-IN at almost exactly the halfway point (23:46) that makes it fit onto a 33RPM (barely). I'd rather that than this bullshit 6 minute opening side nonsense on the original press and this reissue – I think the sides have locked grooves or something. Have you listened to it yet? Have you listened to it yet? Finally played it on Thursday and it sounds as good as it looks. Seriously good. I don't own the DVD so I have nothing to compare it too but I loved it. RE: Purchases and acquisitions - Iced Guardian - 08-14-2016 So good to hear. I have the DVD and really love it. Even though the setlist is the weakest of the live DVDs (darn Koch) it's easily my favourite of theirs. I'll put it on when I get back home on Wednesday! RE: Purchases and acquisitions - hugo - 08-14-2016 I had never heard all of Damnation played live so it is a nice addition to my other live Opeth vinyl. I sadly missed that tour back in '03 because I was on vacation when they played Mexico in front of like 200 people back then. RE: Purchases and acquisitions - Iced Guardian - 08-14-2016 I think that was either the first or second time i saw them. IT was a great show nonetheless, and a nice intro to Porcupine Tree too. They played in Toronto at a theatre with seating and it was super relaxing. They brought out "To Bid You Farewell" and the place went nuts! Met the band after and got them to sign my Blackwater Park album on the band picture spine. Love it. RE: Purchases and acquisitions - hugo - 08-16-2016 Just in: Neurosis - Given to the rising (white/black & silver/black merge) RE: Purchases and acquisitions - Iced Guardian - 08-17-2016 Just got the Agalloch Ashes Against The Grain reissue. I also have a few packages waiting for me at work. One could be vinyl related... RE: Purchases and acquisitions - hugo - 08-17-2016 Just got my Neurosis-decibel with Flexi. Even though the envelope had a read stamp reading "please do not bend", the asshole mailman stuffed in the small mailbox >_> but the flexi was flexible enough to survive, phew. RE: Purchases and acquisitions - Blood Music - 08-17-2016 Tell us how is the track already! |
