Colombian synthwave, guitars included!

Meteor's Paraller Lives is absolutely stellar. Definitely a strong contender for the best synth album this year already. Might not be as dark as Pertrubator and co but it's not from the lightest side either. Major presence of guitars brings to mind Dance With the Dead. Meteor is much more atmospheric though and I'd say diverse as well while DWtD relies more on in your face melodies.

Gotta give props to mixing as well. One of the best sounding albums out there, some really nice dynamics.

At the moment it might go as far as third best synth album overall in my books after Trilogy and Dangerous Days. We'll see in time.

Lately I've been listening to some Zone Tripper as well. This one is far from dark. Spacesynth is much better term, Italo-disco even. Anyway, works well as feel good background music. Like today when I had to read some JavaScript tutorials for our university project. Smile

Sooooo ... the other darksynth signing now came in. Working on getting a few things up to speed and will announce in the next few weeks.

Not gonna throw in any guesses, for at this point it could be anyone. Still fingers crossed for Dead Astronauts, even thouhh they may not exactly be synthwave.

Dead Astronauts would be nice, since I missed out on buying a copy of Constellations on CD. I agree they're not exactly synthwave though.

I'm going to throw out a wild guess that it's Trevor Something.

Anyone else a fan of Nightsatan?  Aside from playing Hotline Miami and getting into synthwave from the soundtrack this band is what really got me hooked.

Can someone seriously explain this to me? Weirdest shit I've read in a long time.

'French composer Jean-Michel Jarre released a new single today that features none other than NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. “Exit” will be included on Jarre’s forthcoming album'

RE: The Synthwave Thread - RevolvingImages - 04-18-2016

Next thing you know, Snowden will drop a rap about the importance of encryption.

RE: The Synthwave Thread - winterburner - 04-18-2016

Saw that one in my Discogs "new releases" feed, was equally confused as well as really intrigued. Someone got an explanation, please share.

Haha, too scared to hit play on it.
